As origens da crise argentina: uma sugestão de interpretação

Abstract

O presente trabalho busca resgatar as origens históricas da crise argentina. Argumentamos que o modelo de liberalização econômica subjacente ao Plano de Conversibilidade tem suas raízes na formação da economia agroexportadora, que entre o final do século XIX e primeiras décadas do século XX deu as bases para a construção de um país próspero. Por outro lado, a década de 1990 introduziu uma heterogeneidade social que não guarda relação estreita com as principais heranças do modelo liberal anterior.In this paper we look for the historical genesis of the Argentine crisis. We argue that the economic liberalization model, implicit of the Convertibility Plan, has its roots in establishment of the agro-exporting economy on which, between the end of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century, a prosperous country was formed. On the other hand, the 1990 decade introduced a social heterogeneity that holds no relation to the main heritage of the previous liberal model.
