Abstract
One of the efforts to increase crop production can be done by intercropping. Intercropping system is a cropping system by planting two or more types of plants simultaneously on the same land within one year, the limited land area and the low productivity of corn at the farm level cause corn farming to be not optimal. This study aims to determine the differences in the results of intercropping patterns and monoculture of corn and soybean crops, this research was conducted on farmers' corn fields, Tanete riattang District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi Province. This research started in November 2022 until March 2023. This research was organized using a Randomized Group Design (RAK). To see the effect of differences between intercropping and monoculture, the analysis of variance and BNJ test at the 0.05 level and the NKL test The results showed that the treatment of intercropping planting patterns had no significant effect on the growth of plant height, number of leaves and 100 g weight of corn and soybean plants, based on the NKL test showed that the intercropping treatment gave better results than the monoculture treatment. NKL value of 1.008 also indicates that there is a 1.008% advantage when intercropping corn and soybeans
