KAJIAN MORALITAS TEKNOLOGI PINTU PERLINTASAN KERETA API (Studi Kasus: Pintu Perlintasan Kereta Api Cikudapateuh Bandung)

Abstract

Train wreck is one of the transportation accidents that often occur in Indonesia. One of the problems that often arise is that of railroad crossings due to negligence of the officers in charge or to reckless motorists. Human factors and technology are often in the spotlight in many cases of train accidents. The concept of technological determinism and social construct is a two-seemingly-contradictory view of technological phenomena. This paper outlines how rail crossings are viewed as an element of technology that plays an important role in human safety. This study observes human and non-human factors in perceiving the morality of railroad crossings technology in Cikudapateuh, Bandung.
