Abstract

This article is focused on the analysis of interviews to the feminist activists responsible for the web pages oriented to the fight against gender-based violence in order to determine the relationship between feminist virtual communities' online and offline activism. The article aims to address the perception of the discursive configuration of the gender-based violence victims in legal and media discourses. The analysis focuses on the use of online feminist praxis and tries to relate it to the emergence of actual activist virtual communities. A mere instrumental use of online technologies is also addressed. The research carried out is centered on cyberefeminism praxis' concern about the symbolic representation of violence drawing on Butler's performative theory.
