Caricom and the social protection of regional migrants workers

Abstract

The main objective of this article is to analyze the impact that CARICOM has on the guarantee of social rights, mainly the social and labor security of the migrant population of the member countries of this international organization. This analysis was developed through the use of deductive and analytical methods; in the understanding that in the first place the legal framework of this regional organization in the field of social protection of migrant workers is analyzed in a general way, from the specific analysis of social rights, such as education, health, work, housing and protection of livelihoods. Finally, the main challenges in the matter are presented -in conclusion form.
