Abstract

Objective: The objective of this work was to develop a critical review of the book "Métodos e Técnicas de Pesquisas Científicas" (Methods and Techniques of Scientific Research). The book provides a comprehensive guide for students and researchers, assisting them in understanding and applying scientific approaches. Method: The method involved reading and subsequently reviewing the text that explores the various phases of research, from formulating questions to analyzing results. Edited by Lúcia Vaz de Campos Moreira and Jardelino Menegat, the collection of twenty chapters covers methods such as experimental, observational, and bibliographic. Results and conclusion: The book begins with an introduction to scientific research, moving on to quantitative and qualitative methods, case studies, and analysis techniques. Each chapter follows a logical structure, making the content accessible. While the balance between qualitative and quantitative methods is emphasized, the review highlights the need to explore specific contexts and delve deeper into statistical analysis.
