Abstract

Focuses on the role of clinical psychology in the integrated diabetes care team focusing on the influence of psychological factors to glycemic control. Obstacles faced by the integration of psychological services into diabetic treatment focusing on reimbursement issues; Application of health and behavior codes in a population of diabetic patients; Charges and revenue from the use of e&m and mental health codes; Problems on funding resources for a multidisciplinary program of diabetic care.
