Abstract

Polymorphisms affecting immunosuppressive drug metabolism, through enzymes such as the cytochrome P450 3A4 and 3A5 and the efflux transporter P-glycoprotein (MDR1) may have a significant impact on blood and tissue levels, but developing and applying this information is a large and ongoing task.
