Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Word Square learning model on the learning outcomes of the fourth grade students of SDN cluster II of Lingsar district in the 2020/2021 academic year. The type of research used is experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design research design type quasi experiment. The population in the study were students of class IV SD Gugus II, Lingsar District, totaling 108 students, while the sample was grade IV SD Gugus II SD Lingsar District, totaling 85 students. Data collection methods used in this study were documentation and questionnaires, while the instruments used were social studies learning outcomes documents and Word Square model questionnaires. The data analysis technique used to determine the effect of the Word Square model on learning outcomes is the normality test, linearity test, and simple regression test. After the questionnaire results and learning outcomes were analyzed using the normality and linearity test, the data were normally distributed and had a linear relationship. After going through the prerequisite test, then a simple regression test was carried out with the results obtained by the sig value. of 0.000 <0.05 or using a comparison of the value of tcount (3.974)> t table (1.988) which means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected so that there is an effect of the Word Square learning model on the learning outcomes of social studies content for fourth grade students of SDN cluster II, Lingsar sub-district, 2020/2021 school year
