Abstract

As part of the project to identify plant natural products which modulate bacterial multidrug resistance (MDR), bioassay-guided isolation of the methanol extract of Paullinia pinnata L. roots yielded four known compounds namely friedelin, β-sitosterol, β-sitosterol acetate and β-sitosterol D-glucoside.
