Abstract

This research aims to determine the dose of urea to increase the dry matter, organic matter, and crude protein content of citronella waste as a feed ingredient for ruminants. A factorial design in a 2×3 Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 replications. Factor A (length incubation of 14 and 21 days) and Factor B (3%, 5%, 7% urea dose) were used in this study. The results of the statistics analysis showed that there was no interaction (P>0.05) between factor A and factor B on dry matter and organic matter content. There was an interaction (P<0.01) between factor A and factor B on crude protein content. The best results in this study were found in the length incubation treatment of 21 days at a urea dose of 7% with a dry matter content of 74.5, an organic matter content of 87.37%, and a crude protein content of 16.01%. Keywords: Ammonia, Citronella Waste, dry matter, organic matter, crude protein
