Abstract

Strategies to Improve Student Achievement and Learning Motivation, namely by using several methods applied in learning, the existence of supporting and inhibiting factors in improving student achievement and motivation, and how to overcome these obstacles. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive type. The data in the study were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation methods, and then analyzed using the interactive analysis of the Miles and Huberman model. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded: First, the strategies commonly used by teachers vary, such as the lecture method, question and answer, discussion, group work and the method of giving assignments. Second, the supporting factor in increasing student achievement and motivation is the use of various methods to avoid a vacuum and boring learning atmosphere and the existence of student motivation, both intrinsic and inquiry methods, all of which lead to the spirit of student learning. Third, how to overcome obstacles in increasing student achievement and motivation: Anticipatory steps by providing additional guidance to underprivileged students specifically and more intensively. In addition, it must also build good communication between teachers and students, between teachers and parents. Teachers also have to establish a good emotional relationship with students. Strategi Peningkatan Prestasi dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa, yaitu dengan menggunakan beberapa metode yang diterapkan di dalam pembelajaran, adanya faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam meningkatkan prestasi dan motivasi belajar siswa, dan cara mengatasi hambatan-hambatan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian dikumpulkan melalui metode wawancara, observasi, dan juga dokumentasi, dan kemudian dianalisis dengan analisis interaktif model Miles and Huberman. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan: Pertama, Strategi yang biasa digunakan guru bervariasi yakni seperti metode ceramah, Tanya jawab, diskusi, kerja kelompok dan metode pemberian tugas. Kedua, Faktor pendukung dalam meningktakan Prestasi dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa adalah penggunaan metode yang beragam untuk menghindari suasana belajar vakum dan membosankan serta adanya motivasi siswa, baik metode intrinsik maupun metode inquiri yang kesemuanya mengarah pada semangat belajar siswa. Ketiga, Cara mengatasi hambatan dalam meningkatkatan Prestasi dan Motivasi Belajar Siswa: Langkah antisipatif dengan memberikan bimbingan tambahan kepada siswa kurang mampu secara khusus dan lebih intensif. Selain itu, juga harus membangun komunikasi yang baik antar guru dan siswa, antar guru dan orang tua. Guru juga harus menjalin hubungan emosional yang Baik dengan siswa.
