Abstract

The general objective of this reflection article is to explain the forms of resolution of legal conflicts in the conciliation centers and legal offices of higher education institutions, focusing on the techniques used by students who carry out their internships in these settings as well as from the teaching experience. Regarding the methodology, it has a qualitative tendency from the reflection of cases presented in a legal office in Norte de Santander. The study is supported by a documentary review of scientific information sources, with a particular emphasis on the last decade within the Colombian context. Thirty sources related to the topics of research, teaching, alternative conflict resolution mechanisms, litigation, ethics and law were considered for the theoretical review. The data collection technique was documentary analysis, on which specific content analysis was carried out through a matrix. The main categories identified were represented by the legally relevant facts presented by the four case studies based on the respective legal files. One of the significant aspects aims for the student to develop communication skills, empathy, concentration, theoretical management, and knowledge in the interview that allow addressing social conflict and its alternative legal solution.
