Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:To compare the diagnostic accuracy of one brief alcohol questionnaires with another for identifying risk, harmful or hazardous drinking, or alcohol dependence in primary care.We will investigate the following factors as potential sources of heterogeneity: sex, age and ethnicity.
