The ionic conductivity of [Li+@C60](PF6−) was measured in o-dichlorobenzene, and found to be higher than that of TBA+PF6−. Electrochemical reduction of [Li+@C60](PF6−) without any supporting electrolyte gave the monovalent radical anion Li+@C60·−, as confirmed by the characteristic ESR signal and NIR absorption band. © 2013 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
