Abstract

If a bubble rises in a liquid-filled and hermetically sealed container, then a significant increase in pressure inside it is possible. We analyse this situation using both the model of an incompressible fluid and taking into account its compressibility. Due to the counter-intuitive nature and mathematical simplicity, this issue will be interesting and accessible for college students.
