Abstract

The article discusses the role of library liaisons in the collection development activities in the library through open systems model organizations. Liaisons are involved in assessment of clients and satisfaction of the collected informations. They are responsible for the collection development, analysis, evaluation and reference works. In this connection, open system model organizations revealed the operation of liaisons within the library and the university. Several charts reflecting the Open system in universities and academic libraries are also presented.
