Abstract

Objectives: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:. This protocol reports the rationale and methods for a systematic review of contraception decision aids for improving care and effective method use:. Primary objective. Examine the effectiveness of decision aids when used in contraception counselling, both on contraceptive choice and use. Secondary objectives. Compare the effectiveness of clinic-based and out-of-clinic interventions. Determine whether the effectiveness of decision aids is associated with socioeconomic status.
