Abstract

The Internet of things (IoT) is considered a key driving force of what the Japanese government refers to as Society 5.0, the image of an ideal future society that the Japanese government currently advocates. Society 5.0 is defined as “a human-centered society that balances economic advancement with the resolution of social problems by a system that integrates cyberspace and physical space.” According to the government, “In Society 5.0, a huge amount of information from sensors in physical space is accumulated in cyberspace.
