Abstract

The journal retracts the article “Soil Microbiome Manipulation Gives New Insights in Plant Disease-Suppressive Soils from the Perspective of a Circular Economy: A Critical Review” by Ugo De Corato [1]. Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the publisher regarding overlap with a manuscript previously submitted to another journal, with different authorship. The extent of the overlap was confirmed with the other journal. The overlap includes the literature review, theoretical and analytical framework, as well as an identical figure. Adhering to our complaint procedure, an investigation was conducted that confirmed significant overlaps with the previous manuscript, and the article is therefore retracted. This retraction was approved by the Editor in Chief of the journal Sustainability. The author agreed to this retraction.
