Abstract

User Modifiable Software is designed to allow for limited modification by aircraft operators without certification efforts. User Modifiable Software is not new in concept. Nevertheless, development of technology, combined with a strong demand for cost reduction and the worldwide use of desktop applications like office automation favor the use of common tools like spreadsheet applications for automatic generation of User Modifiable Software embedded in avionics equipment in modern aircrafts.
