Mulheres no ensino de Direito: histórias de ativismo e sororidade em Inglaterra e na Alemanha

Abstract

Resumo Os cursos de Direito têm hoje uma forte presença de alunas. E as professoras? Com base em dois estudos de caso, discutem-se as condições e os impactos da docência no feminino. O argumento principal é que a entrada de professoras de Direito nas universidades fez-se, desde o início, num processo de apoio e entreajuda entre colegas dentro e fora da academia, beneficiando das lutas dos movimentos feministas, das cumplicidades com aliados homens e de janelas de oportunidade políticas. Atualmente, a universidade neoliberal dificulta o trabalho em equipa, promove a competição a vários níveis e isola os/as profissionais. Em simultâneo, desvaloriza disciplinas e áreas de investigação sem uma tradução imediata em indicadores de empregabilidade e de sustentabilidade financeira. Abstract Women Teaching Law: Stories of activism and sorority in England and Germany Law studies currently have a strong presence of women students. What about the professors? Based on two case studies, this article discusses the conditions and impacts of female Law teaching. Its main argument is that the entrance and presence of women Law professors in universities was made possible, from the beginning, by a supportive network of colleagues within and outside academia, benefiting from the struggles of the feminist movements, the cooperation of male allies and political windows of change. Nowadays, the neoliberal university makes team work harder by promoting competition at all levels and isolating their staff. At the same time, it devalues subjects and fields of research that do not have an immediate translation in employability and financial sustainability indicators.
