Abstract

The hexachlorotitanates of rubidium and cesium have been produced in a closed system, following the reaction[Formula: see text]where M is respectively Rb and Cs. With the titanium tetrachloride vapor at 1 atm, the optimum temperature for both reactions is 410 ± 10 °C.
