Abstract

An effective vaccine against hepatitis B will shortly be introduced to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This represents an opportunity to undertake an extremely important exercise in preventive medicine. This report attempts to outline the problem and makes suggestions as to the effective and economical use of the vaccine.
