The study was designed with the retrospective method because in this study conducted a search for the factors blamed for stunting malnutrition in children under 5 years of age. As a control, the search will also be conducted on children under 5 years of normal nutritional status (no stunting) for use as a positive learning devians. This study will then be used as a basis for recommending strategies and child nutrition intervention programs under five years according to the characteristics of the region as well as the socio-cultural character of the community in the area of type dryland farming. The results showed that of the nine factors estimate the incidence of malnutrition stunted, turns 5 factors of which are the determinants of the incidence of malnutrition in the village Hueknutu at a significance level of 10%, ie continuity of household food availability (OR = 23.9), history of the birth LBW (OR = 7.8), history of illness (OR = 4.5), breastfeeding up to 2 years (OR = 4.4), and the level of maternal nutrition knowledge (OR = 4.2)
