Síndromes coronarios agudos

Abstract

Several documents (printed and electronic) about cardiovascular diseases were reviewed, particularly heart attack without an elevation of the T-segment, taking into account that the hospital mortality is lower when a coronary syndrome with that characteristic occurs. To update the topic several aspects related to concept, classification, pathophysiology, diagnosis, clinical pattern, laboratory tests and risk factors were valued since heart diseases are actually the main cause of death in industrialized nations and it is expected that they will also be the same cause of death in developing countries for 2020, among them, Cuba.
