Abstract

A composite pellet consisted of manganese ore, iron ore, fine coke and ferro-manganese slag was produced by the continuous rapid curing process with carbonation through CO//2 containing gas. The physical properties are improved in comparison with manganese lump ore. 243 kWh/t of electricity saving, 123 kg/t of coke substitution by fine coke and 1. 2% increase of manganese yield were attained in production.
