Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of lane keep-ing systems. First, a general architecture is in-troduced and existing solutions for the necessary sensors and actuators are then overviewed. The threat assessment and the lane position control problems are discussed, highlighting challenges and solutions implemented in lane keeping sys-tems available on the market.
