Abstract
Neonatal patients have several differences in anatomy and physiology relative to adults which are important to consider when preparing a plan for perioperative management. Providing safe neonatal anesthetic care requires an understanding of the clinical implications of neonatal physiology and anatomy to manage the airway, resuscitation, and hemodynamics of the neonate.
