Perthes' disease in Norway

Abstract

The article presents the findings of a study related to Perthes' disease in Norway. Perthes' disease is a condition of the hip affecting children in which the femoral head becomes partially or completely necrotic and gradually deformed during the active stages of the disease. It is stated that the objectives of treatment are to reduce pain by analgetics and maintain or improve the range of motion during the active phase of the disease.
