Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between financial decisions making from the perspective of the owners or managers of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) with the creation of economic value for the enterprise. The results obtained from X2 (chi-square), indicates that there is sufficient evidence in the sample to prove that from the perspective of the owners or managers of SME, financial decisions are an instrument which promotes growth in the business, and increases value for shareholders. The study shows that both, owner and manager make financial decisions in the enterprise, but in regard to choosing and developing actions that create value, they tend to be different.
