Studies on pollen sources for Apis cerana Fabr. and Apis mellifera L. bees at Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India

Abstract

Some 40 and 48 plant species served as pollen sources to Apis cerana and A. mellifera respectively. Major, medium and minor pollen sources were identified. the peak in pollen availability was from January-May and again in November. Each of the species had 13 anemophilous plant species as sources of pollen. -from Authors
