Abstract

This chapter focuses on early childhood education, the types of services, facilities available, and the skills to be acquired during the important formative years. A discussion is pursued on policy and legislation, the benefits of early education, suitable activities to engage children and choosing the appropriate services. The chapter highlights all major aspects in early childhood education, the challenges that governments face and the benefits of the programs.
