Abstract
The finding of three specimens of Nessorhamphus ingolfianus (Schmidt 1912), obtained, in front of Valdivia (39° 44'S; 70° 39'W) is reported. This proves to be the first record of this species for the Southeastern Pacific and for the Chilean ichthyofauna.
