The training in pedagogical innovation competencies for executives in Peru

Abstract

The dynamics of the new challenges of education, is to assume from teacher training that tends from new skills such as creativity and innovation. The objective of this study was to analyze the training in pedagogical innovation competencies in Higher Education Institutions, with special emphasis on managers who participate in the definition of educational policies, pedagogical programs, continuous training processes and pedagogical innovation. A qualitative methodology was used, supported by a bibliographical documentary review, of articles published in indexed journals and documents related to the proposed topics. From this, different elements can be visualized that determine the training in competencies based on the characteristics of each university, which together describe strategies with value for comprehensive teaching in students and for the management decision-making process. Finally, it can be concluded that the training in innovation competencies for managers must be permanent and defined based on educational policies in Peru.
