Abstract

The purpose of the research described was to ascertain the reduction of the bond between concrete and steel in test samples subjected to temperatures of 300 and 500 degree C, as compared with bond of samples at room temperature of 20 degree C. Simulation tests at the Building Research Institute, Prague, Czechoslovakia, indicate that in some instances bond strengths can be reduced by 75 percent or more.
