Abstract

Discrimination in the health sector is disturbing as it violates the basic principles articulated by care providers. As disturbing is the discrimination reported in the nursing profession itself. Below, the issues behind the eight factors that generate discrimination. Awareness of such harmful - and often painful-practices is the first step in addresing the problem and planning future action.
