Abstract

The TCS3200 color sensor based plankton growth monitoring has been successfully designed and tested. This sensor work based on of changing in green intensity on the media. The test were calibrated with the density of plankton/ml using a Hemocytometer method. It was founded that the sensor was able detect plankton growth in real-time with sensitivity and linearity of 0.023 / Individual and R2 = 0.978 respectively. The result was then calibrated with a density of plankton permilimeter that measured by using the hemosytometer method. The success of this study will facilitate the plankton growth monitoring which is easy and fast so that it can be applied to plankton culture.
