Abstract

Reviews the book, All Bets Are Off: Losers, Liars, and Recovery from Gambling Addiction by A. Wexler, S. Wexler, and S. Jacobson (2015). The book is laden with sophisticated takes on complex issues and some really glaring generalizations. This book is related to the world of Gamblers Anonymous (GA) in all its specificity, vis-a-vis other 12-Step programs. The authors use the designation ''compulsive gambling'' when discussing problem gambling (PG), which is favored by Gamblers Anonymous (GA), though generally in disuse by the scientific community.
