Islamic spiritual care has existed since the prophetic period of Muhammad. Islamic spiritual care was practiced by Rufaidah Al-Asalmiya and her father Sa'ad As-Salami when the Prophet migrated from Mecca to Medina. This literature research was made based on descriptive data about the history of Islamic care. This study examines how the history of Islamic spiritual care during the time of the Prophet Muhammad in 570-632 M starting before the war, during the war to postwar. The results showed that the treatment method and care which originally used the Jahiliyyah method, was by reciting mantras and talisman become a method based on the Qur'an and the advice of the Prophet Muhammad with prayers and blessings. After many changes in the method of treatment and care, Rufaidah asked the Prophet for permission to establish a nursing school. By establishing a nursing school, she leads and educates women for careers in healthcare. At the time of the war, Rufaidah and female nurses played an important role in the war process, namely as a medical party who helped wounded war soldiers, in addition to providing assistance, treatment and medical care also provide Islamic spiritual guidance so that patients or injured soldiers are always patient, sincere and trustful to Allah SWT for the illness they are suffering from.
