Abstract

The data presented here show that the 3 sites considered (384, 386 and 397) contained a nannoflora of intermediate character between the tropical and purely high latitude assemblages of the Atlantic. Site 384 contains more lower latitude elements than expected from its position (41oN). Site 384 also contains 2 short duration blooms: the Cruciplacolithus tenuis - Sygodiscus assemblage between 64.5 and 63my and the Biscutuum? tenuiculum assemblage at c62my. The biogeographic patterns observed also confirm the earlier paleoclimatic conclusions drawn from the remainder of the N Atlantic biogeographic migratory patterns and to help to data these climatic events more closely. -from Author
