Abstract

This paper describes 'menu-based natural language understanding' and discusses some extensions to a domain-independent database interface generator that allow a user to build interfaces to his own data in which he can request answers to be presented not only in the form of tables, but also using icons on maps and using business graphs, including pie charts, histograms, bar charts, surface charts, line graphs, and scatter plots.
