*[Baits have become one of the most popular formulations used by pest management professionals for use against cockroaches, ants, & termites. One of the advantages of bait formulations is that they are usually ready to use, in low concentrations, & can be placed only where & when needed. Hazards of using baits are minimized by using child-resistant bait stations or careful placement directly into harborages. The use of baits requires more time than spraying & costs may be higher because of the use of food-grade ingredients in the formulation. Overall, baits are a very effective & successful insecticide formulation for urban pest control.]
