Abstract

While China's economy is developing rapidly and sustainably, urban issues appears continuously, for instance traffic congestion, insufficient funds, environmental pollution, and housing shortages. It is necessary to learn from advanced international countries' experiences and process urban planning in accordance with the domestic situation. This article analyses the relationship between transportation and land use, and proposes the basic idea of applying the concept of coordinated development of transportation and land use, by introducing the advanced experience of Singapore, Copenhagen and Hong Kong in the coordinated development of urban transportation and land use, which is conducive to improving transportation efficiency and has a realistic significance.
