Abstract

A new deprotecting procedure with trifluoroacetic acid-thioanisole-m-cresol was employed for the removal of the benzyloxycarbonyl group from the Nε-amino group of lysine. A wasp venom, mastoparan, was synthesized using this procedure to confirm its validity in peptide synthesis. © 1980, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
