Abstract
Solid steel reinforced concrete column which has an excellent seismic performance has been extensively used in high-rise buildings. Over the years, solid steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns have been noticed by domestic and foreign scholars for the aesthetic appearance of buildings and interior decoration. Cross-shaped columns, L-shaped columns and T-shaped columns are considered as the most common types of column section. In this paper, based on a seismic test of solid steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns, the sectional curvatures of solid steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns are analyzed, the correlation between cross sectional curvatures and deformation of component are established. The calculation method of yield curvature and ultimate curvature of special-shaped columns is determined, and the displacement ductility coefficient is obtained by cross sectional yield curvatures and ultimate curvatures. Finally, a simple equation applicable for the yield curvature and the ultimate curvature of solid steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns of three types of sections is derived by fitting parameters. This formula can be used as a reference for deformation calculation and seismic design of solid steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns.
