Abstract

For the first time in Chile, cases of nymphs of the brown dog tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus) being found on two goats (Capra hircus), and adult (one male and a gravid female) white stripped ticks (Amblyomma tigrinum) being found on cattle (Bos taurus) have been reported. The aim of this review is to discuss the importance of these findings. © 2007 Facultad de Ciencias Veterinarias, Universidad Austral de Chile.
