Abstract

The pandemic caused by the COVID-19 has made visible the precariousness and inequalities facing education on a global scale. The purpose of this article is to analyze the impact of the pandemic on the public education system in Honduras, one of the countries with the highest inequality worldwide. To fulfill the objective, the work is divided into four sections. First, the reality of Honduran society and its educational system is described. Second, the actions proposed by government agencies towards training processes in times of crisis are specified. Third, the challenges that the Honduran educational system must face are detailed. Finally, some alternatives are proposed in order to continue in the teaching-learning process.
