Abstract

The article focuses on the lack of clean water for drinking and cleaning purposes in the refugee settlement camps Arua District's Rhino Camp and the Adjumani District in Northern Uganda. Topics discussed include the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion (WASH) approach of the confederation Oxfam International, diseases like cholera, bacillary dysentery and hepatitis E. due to poor hygiene and fecal contamination and challenges associated with teaching people to use latrines and using soap.
