Maxillary sinus is an anatomical structure that should be considered in surgery and endodontic procedures due to its anatomical proximity to the upper posterior teeth. Sinus elevation is the technique most commonly used in the rehabilitation of the posterior maxillary region. Sinus elevation is considered an effective and predictable treatment protocol, but it is an open surgical approach to complications. These complica- tions can occur during surgery or after surgery as well as in conjunction with each other. The aim of this review is to determine the anatomic limitations of the region with appropriate imaging modalities for the identification
